Maiduguri airport, one of the best airport in the northern part of Nigeria.

After several constructions which took place in the Airport, Maiduguri Airport is now a beautiful Airport in the Northern Nigeria,



The city of Maiduguri continues to be plagued by political instability. Having a runway available day and night is now a key to ensuring that support from the international community, including food drops and other critical services, could be delivered. Equipment was deployed within a few days’ time – minimizing the implementation team’s exposure to possibly unsafe conditions and almost instantly making the runway available for nighttime deliveries.



Due to the recent Development in the airport, Maiduguri now have 3 large airlines operating in the airport.
Azman Air which have the most flights to Maiduguri, Max Air, which supports passenger and cargo flights, and Arik Air.

Maiduguri Airport is Now the Busiest Airport in the North-East and probably the 5th busiest airport in the Northern after The likes of Abuja, Kano, Kaduna, And Jos Airports.

The traffic of Maiduguri airport does not only comes from Commercial airlines, but also from Helicopters, as Maiduguri Airport is now the Base of GHS Helicopters and Also Nigerian Airforce fighter Jets and some Cargo Planes.

Maiduguri airport records at least 8 departures from Commercial airplanes, and at least more than 10 from Helicopters, and at least 10 daily takeoffs from NAF fighter jets/choppers. (due to operations going on in the North-East)
